Wood Piles

Our Story

Scrappy Woodworks was founded when I had an interest in woodworking and a desire to work with my hands. I started by salvaging scrap wood from waste bins at my university makers' space and turning it into unique and beautiful handcrafted pieces that caught the attention of my friends and family. With my developing skills and creativity, Scrappy Woodworks has grown into more than just a pass time. It has become my business that I fill with passion, hard work, and creativity.

I sell my products localy and regionally to my following of customers who appreciate my unique approach to woodworking.
I strive to create more than just a typical piece of woodwork. I put valuable time and effort into everything that I create so that my customers don't just receive woodwork, they receive art.

Meet The Creator

I'm Seth Wright. I grew up in rural Nebraska. I have always had an entrepreneurial spirit and enjoyed getting my hands dirty. When I was 13, I purchased my first sheep and from there I have built a herd of over 40 ewes with the help of my family.

Since enrolling the University of Nebraska - Lincoln I have been a member of the Engler Entrepreneurship program. Through Engler my entrepreneurial spirit has turned into a fire.

With my entrepreneurial fire and passion for working with my hands I decided to start a woodworking business, Scrappy Woodworks. I take pride in my work, providing quality, unique products to my customers. It is my hope to be able to bring enjoyment to my customers through each piece that I create.
